June 2006

I’ve added another as well, Evangelical Textual Criticism. I’m not exactly sure how textual criticism can be characterized by “Evangelical” (which I suppose is meant to disincline us from thinking it “liberal” or “neorthodox” or some other label). I’m sure that the participants there don’t simply offer evidence if it fits an evangelical agenda. That little quibble aside, do take a look as it’s a fine resource.

This isn’t a new blog, but it is a good one, by Catholic scholar Michael Barber and titled Singing in the Reign. Clever huh? I’m not sure why it wasn’t added before. I suppose I’m getting old and slow. After all, yesterday one of the chaps at the weekly public lecture said “I’m able to locate passages faster because I have young fingers”. Meaning, of course, that the rest of us have old ones!

In any event, enjoy Michael’s good work.

In the list of our evergrowing resources I’ve added today a link to Rick Sumner’s “The Dilettante Exegete”. Add it to your own blogroll or just visit it from here.

Aren Maeir’s excellent blog on Gath is this month’s featured biblioblog. You can check out the interview here. Enjoy.

Ben Myers has done a brilliant job of assembling this month’s carnival. Be sure to visit.

I’ve added two new biblioblogs to the list: Buddy Boone, a bright man in North Carolina; and Biblisches Forum, from Germany and also by a very bright man. Take a look, and enjoy!

By the way, if you know of biblioblogs that we can take a look at in consideration of adding them, please let us know. And if any blogs have died or been taken down, we would like to know that too.
